School Policy

The school cannot deliver the full Early Years Curriculum and be held responsible for each child’s progress unless they attend all of their 15 hour grant sessions at our Nursery.

It is therefore not our policy to ’share’ the 15 hour grant i.e. a child attending our school for some of the grant sessions and another setting for the remainder. Children on grant are expected to attend our nursery for 15 hours of their funded sessions.

Children who join the nursery after their third birthday can attend for 3 sessions during their first term to allow for a settling in period. After the first term, they will be expected to increase the number of session they attend to 5/6.

Grant Funded Children

We do not offer funding for the 2 year olds as we do not have any additional places available.

We offer both the 15 hours and the 30 hours funding for 3-5year olds. 

Attendance Policy

We care very much about the emotional well-being of the children in our care. For this reason we do not register children for one day a week. This makes it very difficult for them to settle, as there is a six day break between visits.

All children from 3 months must attend on at least 2 separate days per week. We recommend that parents gradually increase the sessions their child attends. However, once the child is 3 and in receipt of the grant, they should attend for all of their 15 hours grant sessions.
